In Reaching Your Dreams: Is It Worth The Risk?

We always have that one dream we would want to reach someday.

A doctor. A successful entrepreneur. A Millionaire. A wife and mother. A public servant. The dream list is endless.

When we set our minds in reaching our dreams,we are so excited and motivated but as time goes by, when we face difficult circumstances, we tend to quit and to not pursue our dreams at all.

Sad story, right? We became quitters and eventually forget our dreams we are excited to pursue before.

My dear folks, if we really want to achieve our dreams no matter how difficult circumstances maybe, we have to continue pressing on towards our goal and give our best effort whatever it takes.

Thomas Edison, one of the world’s greatest inventors, once said:

“Genius is one percent inspiration and ninety nine percent perspiration. I never did anything worth doing by accident, nor did any of my inventions come by accident. They came by work.”

Nothing worth comes easy. Before Thomas Edison was recognized for his light bulb invention, he failed a lot and guess what, he did not give up until his invention becomes perfect.

Persistence and hardwork will always be the key if we really want to reach our dreams.

Colonel Sanders, known for his Kentucky Fried Chicken Recipe, peddled thousands of restaurants and food outlet. He failed, got rejected, but did not give up until his recipe became famous to the world.

We can never eliminate rejections, failures and disappointments. We should learn from all of these because these are significant part of our experience towards success.

“Here’s how to get whatever you want -do whatever it takes.”

As human beings, it is a human nature to find the easier way towards our goal thus, finding ourselves inside the safe and secure zone.

To achieve any goal, there will always be a risk. If we really want to become a doctor, there is so much risk in studying the medical jargons, risk of sleeping late for the board exams and internship programs, but all of these will be worth it.

Remember, we will not move forward if we will not get out on our limbs and take a risk.

No one becomes successful without losing, without being rejected and without taking a risk.

Is it worth the risk? Yes,with persistence, commitment, and positive outlook in life, we can possibly achieve our dreams! 😁
